Plant walks are designed for plant and nature lovers alike. They aim is to introduce people to wild plants that we can eat, or plants that are useful for either medicine or other purposes. Many of them have interesting folklore. No previous knowledge is required.
Plant walks are led by local botanist and forager Celia Cox, and occur from spring to late autumn. Walks are typically two hour walks long and usually run on St Catherine’s Hill , Winchester. near Shawford Down, and along the River Itchen towards Twyford. Other venues can be arranged by prior arrangement. Evening walks can also arranged. T
