Introduction to Foraging on May 12 at Minstead Study Centre

This event started with a three hour forage in the New Forest looking for both edible and medicinal plants. Some plants wre made into teas and othrs cooked and sampled. There was also a demonstration to show how to smoke a  trout.  This was followed by a three course “wild food" based lunch. . This included a wild garlic and potato soup with home made sour dough bread, a choice of mains followed by a sloe gin chocolate mouse with dandelion biscuits.
