COURSE
An Introduction to the Identification of Wild Flowers
led by Celia Cox at Shawford Down on 22nd July 2011
This venue provided a wide variety of plant species to look at, and for once, the weather was perfect! The course started with a classroom session to look at the structure of plants in order to understand why plants with similar features are put in the same family. This was followed by a walk up Shawford Down looking at these flowers in situ. With this new-found knowledge, the attendees were amazed to find how many plants they could put in the correct family.
